yeah it was nutso. never been to vegas before. its like a big set from a movie.

the crowd was cool. as cool as 45,000 people get in the desert sun. no security really past the gate except ushers for the stadium... so there was a lot of naughty-ness. But no one passed out or extra obnoxious or fighting or anything. The medics wore a tye dye uniform... and I passed that tent a bunch, always empty cots... so thats a good barometer I guess.

the late night thing was standard show procedure. just like going to any non festival, one band concert... but everyone I had latenight tickets for (Umphreys, STS9 and Galactic) blew the roof off.

in fact, everyone I wanted to see and did see was exceptional. seemed like they were trying to do it up for the event.
